As you should know by now, I love curb "shopping". One day, my neighbor was cleaning out her garage trying to make room for her car before the winter hits; if you live in the Midwest, you know how it goes. She had all sorts of treasures in her pile at the curb. I found a couple of cork screws (very important), Disney Movies on VHS, and these brass candle sticks.

If you ask me, brass is not attractive, but the candlesticks had a really cool shape. For this really easy DIY update, I only needed a can of spray paint. I took them outside and gave them a couple of coats of antiqued bronze spray paint from Rustoleum.
Look how great they turned out and it only took $7.00 and a couple of hours! Now, I just have to add candles.
