Cheeseburger Crescent Casserole

I was running out of dinner ideas the other night and it was also getting close to time to go buy groceries. I still had random supplies left so I combined two different recipes to make this! It turned out really well and I will definitely be making it again.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef

  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tbsp. Mustard

  • ½ c. Ketchup

  • 1 small Onion chopped

  • ½ Green Bell Pepper

  • ¼ c. Pickles chopped

  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

  • 1 can (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent rolls

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet, then drain the grease.

  3. Return the beef to the pan and add onion, green pepper, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and ketchup. Mix together. Turn the heat on low and stir occasionally to heat up the meat again.

  4. Spray a 9 x 9 baking dish with pam. (If you want to make the casserole bigger then you can use a 9 x 13 dish and use the crescent rolls only on top)

  5. Spread half of the crescent rolls on the bottom of the dish, making sure not to leave any holes in the dough. Press it all the way to the edges. Take the other half of the dough and spread it out on a plate or another flat surface so you can place it on top of the hamburger later.

  6. Add the pickles to the hamburger mixture and stir.

  7. Spoon hamburger mixture into the baking dish on top of the crescent roll dough. Add cheese on top of the meat.

  8. Place the other half of the crescent rolls on top of the cheese. Press it against the sides and watch for holes.

  9. Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until dough is fully cooked and golden brown.
