I am not huge fan of roast but after trying this recipe I have changed my mind! The pictures don’t really look the most appetizing but trust me, it was excellent.
I got the idea from http://www.tablefortwoblog.com/mississippi-roast/#.UstjE7TIxYy, but I did a little tweaking.
Serves 6-8 people
Ingredients:
1 - 3 pound chuck roast
1 - packet of Ranch Salad Dressing and Seasoning mix
1 - packet of au jus gravy mix
1 - stick of butter
1/4 cup water
Vegetables of your choosing (I used baby carrots and potatoes)
Directions:
Add 1/4 cup of water into the crockpot and place the chuck roast on top of it.
Dump your vegetable in around the chuck roast.
Pour the ranch seasoning packet on top of the chuck roast and vegetables, then pour the dry au jus mix on top of that.
Add you stick of butter on top of the roast.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
Shred the meat and then it’s ready to serve!
