Best Pot Roast Ever!


I am not huge fan of roast but after trying this recipe I have changed my mind! The pictures don’t really look the most appetizing but trust me, it was excellent.

I got the idea from http://www.tablefortwoblog.com/mississippi-roast/#.UstjE7TIxYy, but I did a little tweaking.

Serves 6-8 people

Ingredients:

  • 1 - 3 pound chuck roast

  • 1 - packet of Ranch Salad Dressing and Seasoning mix

  • 1 - packet of au jus gravy mix

  • 1 - stick of butter

  • 1/4 cup water

  • Vegetables of your choosing (I used baby carrots and potatoes)

Directions:

  • Add 1/4 cup of water into the crockpot and place the chuck roast on top of it.

  • Dump your vegetable in around the chuck roast.

  • Pour the ranch seasoning packet on top of the chuck roast and vegetables, then pour the dry au jus mix on top of that.

  • Add you stick of butter on top of the roast.

  • Cook on low for 8 hours.

  • Shred the meat and then it’s ready to serve!
