One of my co-workers always brings food in for office birthdays. Because she is always awesome, the rest of the office decided to have a potluck in honor of her birthday. People brought some really tastey treats. I had been thinking about making my mom's gooey butter cake a couple of weeks prior, but I didn't feel like going to the grocery store for cream cheese, so this was the perfect excuse. I have to say, these bars were a hit! Everyone loved them and I only had a couple of leftover.
