Dumpster Dresser
My love of flipping furniture has really become an obsession. I find a piece of furniture and as long as there are no bugs or weird smells. I know, GROSS! But it has happened. Some of these trashy treasures are more trash than treasure. I almost passed this dresser up, not because of the smell, but because it was falling apart.
I am not really the best with power tools. I know it sounds silly, but I always think I am going to end up cutting a finger off or something. The more I use them, though, the more comfortable I feel with them. Anyway, this dresser was going to need a lot of help from power tools.
For starters, I needed to remove the veneer that was peeling up in several places. I had to peel off the back that had some major water damage. The bottom drawer was missing, ok, the drawer front was there, but the sides and bottom were nowhere to be seen. I ended up taking out the bottom drawers and with the help of my amazing husband; we installed shelves, a new back, and refinished the top.
Here is the finished product. Let me know what you think.
